Lauren joined the Zhu Lab as a Senior Research Technician and Lab Manager in July 2025. A lifelong Buckeye, she graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Biology in May 2024. After graduation, she completed a year-long, NIH-funded post-baccalaureate research program in a neuroscience lab at OSU, focusing on neuroinflammation and the aging brain. In the Zhu Lab, she is excited to contribute to the development of blood-based phenotypic assays to predict individualized cardiovascular disease risk. Outside the lab, Lauren enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
